The government recently set out its strategy for developing a thriving low carbon hydrogen sector in the UK to meet its stated ambition to achieve 5GW of low carbon hydrogen production capacity by 2030.
Hydrogen is an energy vector rather than a source of energy – once produced from an energy source, it can be stored and transported. Despite rapid technological advances and research, there is still much discussion about how hydrogen should be produced and how it should be used. The third event in our Ask the Engineers series will assess the potential of hydrogen, and its challenges.
