Free membership is on offer to those who are studying a relevant engineering or design course on a full time basis.  Student members use the post nominal StudIED after their names, and get all the benefits of full members – a digital copy of the journal, regular newsletters, invitations to events and shows, plus the opportunity to be mentored in matters including CV writing and portfolio compilation.  Those looking for placements can promote themselves via the Job Board section of the website, for free: https://ied-uk-jobs.careerwebsite.com/

Students on accredited courses should be automatically enrolled into membership by their course tutor – however, if this has not happened, or you are not studying on an accredited course, you can request a membership application form by emailing Linda@ied.org.uk.

There are annual awards for outstanding IED student members, nominations are made via the leaders of accredited courses who are invited to make nominations of final years students in February each year.  Please feel free to badger your course leader to make a nomination!
